Exeter City publish Police Costs

Exeter City have published figures which show the extra cost to police the game against Hereford United recently.

They report that the average cost of staging a fixture at St James' is about £2750. However the cost on the day they played Hereford United rose to £5464. The extra £2714 is put down as police costs.

On that day, Friday December 30th, there were said to be 113 Hereford fans behind the one goal with a few sat down. Our report gave the figure of 130.

When Aldershot visited Exeter earlier this season the extra cost of policing was £5209. The Shots were said to have 258 supporters not including those who were seated.

The Hereford support at Exeter was lower than usual as the game was televised on Sky.
