Green may hold onto record

Hereford United defender, Ryan Green, could hold onto his record of being the youngster player to feature for the senior Welsh side after all.

It was thought that Lewin Nyatanga, the 17 year-old Derby defender, would take over the record but it now appears that he is a doubt for Wales.

Nyatanga has a toe infection and his fitness will be looked at this afternoon.

If he plays, Nyatanga, at 17 years and 195 days old, will beat Ryan Green's record as Wales' youngest international by just 31 days.
