With an important game on Tuesday evening at Edgar Street against Aldershot, Hereford United will be hoping that at least one of their strikers will return from injury.
Guy Ipoua travelled with the squad to Canvey Island and joined in the pre-match warm-up. But he wasn't named on the bench. And there was no sign of Danny Carey-Bertram, Hereford's other injured striker.
However Ipoua's services could be needed if the Bulls are to take three points from Aldershot on Tuesday following the horrific injury to Adam Stansfield and Stuart Fleetwood being substituted after receiving a knock.
It looks as though Andy Williams will start up-front with Fleetwood with, hopefully, Ipoua able to come on and give a different option should it be needed.
To have three of a squad's five strikers out at any one time is unusual. On top of that Ipoua is on four yellow cards, so there is the likelyhood that he will miss a game sooner or later. Had Graham Turner not signed Fleetwood, the position could be desperate for a side that is still well placed for the play-offs despite drawing yesterday.
There will also need to be other changes to the squad as Alex Jeannin is expected to miss several games after his red card yesterday. It was said on BBC Hereford and Worcester that Jeannin was already on nine yellow cards before receiving one at the Canvey game. If that is correct he will miss two games for collecting ten yellows. And there is his red card to be taken into consideration as well. This card could mean Jeannin may well miss three more games.
Simon Travis should take over Jeannin's role.
