Craig looks forward to Leicester

Craig Stanley, the Hereford United midfielder has been talking to the Shropshire Star. Below is part of the article written by Chris Hudson:

Life in the Nationwide Conference has hardly been kind to Craig Stanley so far.

In his first season, he was establishing himself at Telford United when the club went bust and he found himself out of work.

In his second, after a summer switch to Hereford, he tasted the bitter flavour of defeat in the play-offs as the Bulls were beaten by Stevenage Borough in the semi-finals.

Now the 23-year-old midfielder is hoping it is third time lucky as he plays in the biggest game of his career so far - tomorrow's promotion play-off final with Halifax Town.

A travelling army of more than 8,000 Bulls fans are set to follow their team to Leicester's Walkers Stadium for the big match and Stanley cannot wait for kick-off to arrive.

"We've had a really good season and the club's finished second for the third year running," he revealed.

"Morecambe in the semi-finals was a tough game but we came through it and hopefully we can do the same tomorrow.

"I think the majority of the lads here want to get back into the Football League. Hopefully after tomorrow we'll be there because it's our dream.

"It's the biggest game I've played in and probably the biggest crowd I've ever played in front of. On a personal level I'm really looking forward to it, but the main thing is that we win.

"We've played them twice in the league this year and we've won one and lost one but we also beat them in the FA Trophy as well."
