Shaymen deeply determined to return to League

Chris Wilder has been talking about the game on Saturday and the pressure on Hereford United.

"We're deeply determined to get into the Football League and we're not going for a day out," the Hailfax manager told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"I want to manage at that level and the players want to play at that level so we've got another hurdle to overcome but I'm sure we can do it."

Wilder has also been talking to Halifax Today. He urged more of his fans to get tickets to go to Leicester on Saturday.

"If Gretna can take 12,000 supporters to the Scottish Cup final why can't we have 10,000 at the Walkers Stadium? Wouldn't that be fantastic?

"The players certainly deserve the best possible support for their efforts this season.

"It is a major cup final. This club has never been in anything like it in its entire history.

"I was told when I came here as manager that if we were successful, the crowds would reflect that success.

"The fans have not had a better opportunity to get behind the team than this.

"It should be a great day out and it is only a couple of hours down the motorway.

"I have been asked whether we are ready for promotion," continued Wilder. "You just don't turn down the opportunity - and we have that opportunity.

"My ambition is to manage in the Football League and I know that the players want to play there."

Tickets will be on sale today at the Shay until 7pm and tomorrow from 9am to 7pm.
