Barnet Striker Detained

Barnet striker Tresor Kandol has been sentenced to 13 weeks inprisonment for driving related offences.

The sentence means Kandol, who will serve at least six weeks behind bars, will miss the bulk of pre-season training and is likely to be released days before the opening game of the season.

Meanwhile, in other news, Boston have signed Torquay keeper Alan Marriott and former Peterboro winger David Farrell - their fifth and sixth signings of the summer. Shrewsbury have lost the services of ex-Torquay manager Leroy Rosenior, who is expected to become Brentford's new manager.
