Former Hereford United 'keeper Craig Mawson has completed a move back to Halifax Town. Mawson, who was on the bench when Hereford defeated The Shaymen last month to reach the Football League, had a brief stint at the club before a successful stint at Morecambe.
He joined Hereford after Jonathon Gould's departure, spending nearly two years at the club. His release from Edgar Street was confirmed last Friday and manager Chris Wilder was quick to snap up the goalie. Mawson, 27, had a stop start season due to the loan signing of Wayne Brown, with few league appearences to his name but he was an ever present in the cup games, helping Hereford reach the LDV Vans Trophy semi final for a second year running.
