The management team that took Accrington Stanley into League Two is losing one of its members.
Southport Football Club have appointed thirty seven years old Paul Cook as Manager to succeed Liam Watson. Paul has been on the coaching staff at Accrington Stanley for the last two years, and played an influential role in Accrington's Conference winning team.
Paul made over seven hundred football league appearances, for Coventry City, Stockport County, Burnley, Wigan Athletic, and Tranmere Rovers.
Paul starts work immediately and is Southport's first full time Manager since 1978.
