Crawley Situation Unresolved

Crawley Town's future is still up in the air with no decision yet on whether the only bid for the club is acceptable to the Administrator.

The Conference may, however, force Crawley's hand with the league required by the FA to confirm its member clubs by Thursday. Crawley are believed to be on the verge of being thrown out of the competition with their ownership and financial status still uncertain.

There was some good news for Crawley today with representatives of the club, supporters club, and the Devils Trust meeting today to air their various concerns. The supporters club and Devils Trust issued the following joint statement:

"We have both highlighted serious concerns about the running of the football club and hope our meeting in an open and frank way was a benchmark for the future. All three parties have stated their desire for this to continue. All three organisations remain wary of each other but are still working hard to not only safeguard the future of the club, not just this season, but in future years.

"We hope that all Reds fans will be able to cheer on the team against Rushden & Diamonds whatever the outcome. As a gesture of goodwill, the Supporters Club have offered to give up one seat on the board to the Devils Trust. This has been accepted by Chas Majeed. Both Supporters Groups hope the turmoil at the club is coming to a close."
