Two clubs have made enquiries to take Chester's Michael Branch on loan.
Both Rochdale and Gillingham have made offers with Chester needing to trim their wage bill before sanctions for exceeding the salary cap are applied. Chairman Stephen Vaughan told the local press: "We've had enquiries from Rochdale and Gillingham about taking Michael on loan, so I'm leaving it up to the manager and the player. They've patched up their differences now so well just have to see what the manager wants to do and what the player wants to do but there is certainly no shortage of interest in him."
Chester were warned two weeks ago that they had exceeded the 60% wage cap, and are believed to have until the transfer window closes to rectify the problem.
