Graham Turner will have some thinking to do before Tuesday's Carling Cup game with Coventry after yesterdays defeat at Barnet.
The Hereford United manager admitted to the press that the performance was 'totally unacceptable'.
"That was poor by any standards and we are not talking about League Two here.
"We were out-fought in all areas of the pitch.
"Sometimes it gets psychological with players."
Team member Simon Travis, interviewed on BBC Hereford and Worcester, said Barnet had 'made it very difficult for us to play football'.
Some of the ratings given by the League Paper showed just how bad the performance was. Rose and Giles were given just four points each. Williams, Sills, Ferrell, Beckwith and Gulliver five.
Whether those ratings were fair to individual players is open to debate but there is little doubt this was one of the worst performances by a Hereford side since the mauling at Shrewsbury three seasons ago.
Meanwhile 538 Hereford fans watched yesterday's game according to sources from Barnet.(UPDATE: That figure is probably a little higher as it appears that Hereford supporters sitting in the main stand were not counted in the 538) Also, the final figure for Hereford fans at the first away game of the season was 1147, a few more than originally reported on this site.
