Welsh U21 boss Brian Flynn has praised the incoming players after they drew 0-0 with Turkey.
Flynn recalled Stuart Fleetwood for his first cap in 12 months and gave him a start with his squad ravaged by injuries and call-ups to the senior squad. Flynn told reporters: "The lads who came in did themselves proud and it's all about their football education. They learn from this and will, hopefully, be better players for it."
The attendance at Ninian Park was a disappointing 731, considering the match was priced at just £3 for adults and £1 for kids.
Meanwhile, senior boss John Toshack is expected to call on a number of the u21 squad for the friendly with Brazil on Tuesday.
