Good away support for Bulls

Statistics show that, so far, away support for Hereford United is holding up.

The average per away game is 592. Although this figure includes an excellent following at Stockport on the first day of the season, Hereford have yet to visit any of their closest neighbours. Present indications suggest an 800 or so turnout at Wrexham next Sunday week (September 24th).

Home support has fallen since the first game against Lincoln. The average gate to date, not including the Coventry Cup game, is 3798. After away fans are taken from this number the average drops back to 3518.

Fellow League newcomers Accrington Stanley haven't fared nearly so well. Their average home gate is just 2450. When away fan numbers are deducted this figure drops to just 1852 Stanley supporters at home games. That's just over half the number Hereford have been getting.

Accrington's away support is currently averaging 381. Last Saturday they only took 177 to Notts County.

Surprisingly visitors to Edgar Street tomorrow, Wycombe, haven't had too many of their supporters on the road to date. Their average away following is just 332. Meanwhile their home support is good with average gates of 4494. Even when away support of 303 is deducted the figure of 4191 for home support is one Graham Turner would like to have.
