Hereford drop to Eleventh in League

Hereford United dropped to eleventh place in League Two after this afternoon's games. However they still lie ahead of several so-called bigger teams such as Bristol Rovers and Bury.

Fleetwood received the best mark, an eight, for his performance, and scorer Connell was given a seven but all the others players received a five or a six.

Giles was carded late in the game for 'unsporting behaviour'.

The Hereford United supporters were in fine voice this afternoon; if anything they sang louder each time Mansfield scored. Last season Hereford played at Mansfield in the LDV and the support that evening was tremendous. From the report:

The 90 away supporters, in a crowd of 1,393, sang all the way through what was a reasonably entertaining game, in a very decent all seater stadium, unlike the home fans who made less noise than you'd hear in a library!

Meanwhile several so-called Hereford fans were stopped from watching the game this afternoon at the turnstiles. Stewards said their behaviour was 'abusive'.
