Bulls miss out on £3,000

Shrewsbury Town went away from Edgar Street £3,000 better off after defeating Hereford United last night in the Paint Trophy.

And in today's draw Shrewsbury received a home tie against Yeovil Town. The winners will receive £5,500

Last season Hereford United eventually received £16,000 from taking part in the LDV Vans Trophy. The Bulls reached the Northern Semi-final of that competition.

One compensation for the Bulls was the attendance of 2007 last night. Although there will have been a number of free tickets for youngsters to take into account, the gate last year when Hereford travelled to Mansfield for the first round game in the LDV was 1393.
