Hereford United travel to Grimsby on Sunday for their next League Two fixture. Below is our usual guide to getting there and a little about the facilities at and around the stadium. Grimsby is in North-east Lincolnshire, has been a major English fishing port for centuries, and the excellence of its favoured cuisine of haddock & chips is renowned worldwide.
To many people in the UK the very word "Grimsby" is synonymous with fish. And of course the Grimsby Town football team have the official nickname of "The Mariners".
Travel by Road from Herefordshire:
M5/M42/A42/M1 north.
Leave M1 at junction 32 joining M18. Leave M18 at junction 5 and join M180. The M180 joins the A180 about 15 miles from Grimsby. Follow the A180 and when the dual carriageway ends at the end of the A180 you meet a roundabout. Take the second exit over the railway flyover into Cleethorpes Road, continue along Cleethrorpe road and then Grimsby Road. The ground is on the left near to MacDonald's.

Grimsby's Ground:
The Ground is called Blundell Park and away fans have the Osmond Stand which is beleived to be cold at the best of times. Said to have very good views from the away stand.
Cost of Tickets:

Catering:
Away supporters can use Scotties Bar which is within the Osmond Stand at the ground. Grimsby say 'this is one of the few facilities that you will find at any club that caters especially for away supporters. Open from 1.30pm on a Saturday and 6:30 on a weekday, and equipped with television & video facilities, why not join us for Pie & Peas - Delicious..!' (We assume it is open on Sunday)
Near to the Stadium are various eating and drinking establishments including some, reputed to be excellent, fish and chip shops. The Leaking Boot on Grimsby Road (located just outside Blundell Park, heading towards Cleethorpes front) is said to be "away-fan-friendly".
