Hereford's Turner comes after Ferguson and Gradi

With Crewe taking on Manchester United in the Carling Cup, the length of time managers stay in the same job has been highlighted this morning.

Dario Gradi has been with Crewe since 1983 and Sir Alex Ferguson joined Manchester United in 1986 from Aberdeen.

They are by far the two longest serving managers at present in the Football League.

A few years behind them, but third on the list is Graham Turner, the Hereford United chief. Turner joined the Bulls in 1995.
