The Bulls travel to managerless Swindon Town for the first time since 2001 in the FA Cup.
That day the Robins ran out 3-2 winners with Gavin Williams and Ian Wright giving the Bulls a half time lead. Not one player from either side remains with their respective clubs. The last League clash between the sides was 20 years ago with the home sides victorious on both occasions. Overall, Swindon have the edge with nine wins to six and one draw.
Swindon lie fourth in the table after a weekend defeat to table toppers Lincoln. They share the best defensive record in the division with Wycombe but have not found goals too easy to come by, going down to single goal defeats in two of the last three games. Top scorer is five goal Lee Peacock, who cost Bristol City £600,000 in 2000, with midfielder Paul Evans, who chose Swindon over the Bulls, weighing in with four goals.
The Bulls sit eight points, but only four places, below Swindon after back to back wins. The introduction of loan signings John Eustace and Neil Mackenzie have certainly given the Bulls a fresh lease of life and, while most Bulls fans expect Eustace to return to Stoke at the end of his months loan spell, Mackenzie's encouraging debut is hoped by many to be the first of many for the club.
Swindon Town vs Hereford United, County Ground, Saturday November 4th, 3pm.
