Turner supports Fans against Notts County change

The Hereford United manager has said that the club was not in agreement with the request to switch the pre-Christmas game at Notts County from Saturday to the previous evening.

"I beleive the switch is a total disregard for supporters, merely one with finance uppermost in mind," Graham Turner told Bullseye, the Hereford United match programme.

"To all of our supporters who will be unable to make the journey or now will be entangled in the worst traffic jams of the year, I can only sympathise and say we were totally against the decision.

"The Football League stepped in and forced us to change."

Meanwhile Turner has revealed that an FA Drug Testing Squad recently visited Hereford United.

He said that men in suits paid an unannounced visit to the training ground and escorted four players back to Edgar Street for urine samples.

"The whole operation was done efficiently and with a great deal of co-operation," said Turner.

The club hadn't received the results of the tests when the article was written.

"It is another campaign to be totally supported," commented Turner.
