Shrewsbury Town are expecting Saturday's game with the Bulls to still go ahead despite the Gay Meadow pitch currently being under several inches of water.
Following very heavy rain in Wales over the weekend, the official Shrewsbury site states that they are currently pumping water off the pitch. The Severn is due to peak later today and, with the forecast for the rest of the week only for light rain, it is expected to be dry in time for Saturday's noon kick off.
Meanwhile, Shrews boss Gary Peters felt his side was unlucky in Saturday's loss to Grimsby: "Today I feel like I've run over a few black cats. We were in control in the second half, we were on the march, and it seemed a matter of how long they could hold on because their manager has said their side didn't know how to deal with us. Asamoah hits the post, the ball rolls back across the goal line and ends up curling out for a free-kick - how does that happen?"
