Steve Parkin has left Rochdale by mutual consent after three years as manager.
The club had lost seven of their last eight games, and had slipped to 22nd - only out of the relegation spots on goal difference. His assistant, Tony Ford, has also left the club.
Parkin was in his second spell at the club after an earlier two year stint, and also managed Barnsley and Mansfield in his ten year managerial career. Director of Youth Football Keith Hill will take over on a caretaker basis.
