Mathieson to referee Cup game

Scott Mathieson from Cheshire is set to referee the FA Cup game between Bristol Rovers and Hereford United on Friday evening.

The winner of the game will receive £40,000 in prize money.

Meanwhile the FA are reminding its readers that it is thirty-five years since that great victory by Hereford United over Newcastle.

This game still leads the FA on-line poll to decide which was the greatest FA Cup shock. Currently it has 36% of the vote.
