Accrington Stanley have introduced a scheme designed to encourage youngsters to watch games and hopefully bring their parents or older relations with them.
Stanley fans under 12 years of age can sign up now for the Accrington Stanley Junior Membership scheme for the remainder of 2006/07. Simply pick up a form from the Stanley Store, hand it in and you will receive your membership card.
It is hoped over the year a number of benefits will be available for our members, however for starters we'd like you to come to our home games free of charge! Simply present your membership card at the ticket office on any home league game match day this season, and you will receive a free ticket for the match, it really is that simple!
Finally, all membership forms received before 31st March 2007 will be entered into a draw to win a mascot package for one lucky member, who will lead the teams out at our final home match of the season against Macclesfield on Saturday 28th April, 2007.
With home gates averaging around 2,200 Accrington need to keep interest in their club as high as possible. However like many of these schemes it's often difficult to prove how successful they are.
Hereford United have tried a couple of 'schemes' this year to bring the cost down for families. Currently there is an under 16 ticket offer which lowers the price of admission to Edgar Street to £6 or £7. These tickets have to be purchased a day or two before a home match and are only available for the Meadow End and Family Stand. They can also be purchased on-line.
