Lincoln City Director Of Football John Deehan has warned his side that the Bulls won't be the pushover that may Imps fans are expecting.
After beating leaders Walsall on Friday night, many Lincoln supporters are treating the game as already won but Deehan, who watched the Bulls on Saturday, is more cautious:
"After a slow start to this season, when they were probably adjusting to life back in the Football League, Hereford have improved a lot. When you consider they were well behind Accrington Stanley in terms of points, that's quite surprising. I went to watch them on Saturday and they were solid and could have won by a lot more. People may look at the fixture list and think it's a home banker for us, but there is no such thing."
Lincoln midfielder Jeff Smith, who has declared himself fit after damaging knee ligaments in Friday's win, echoed Deehan's comments:
"Hereford gave us a very tough game at their place. We were hanging on at the end to ensure we clinched the three points. They are not going to be a pushover and they have steadily improved since they came up from the Conference. It would be pointless if, having beaten Walsall, we lost tomorrow night - so we have to ensure we treat Hereford like Walsall."
With Smith fit, Lincoln's only doubt at the moment is striker Dany N'Guessan. The former Boston loanee is yet to start for the Imps and missed the Walsall match with an ankle problem. Sixteen goal striker Jamie Forrester is out suspended, as is defender Lee Beevers, so twelve goal Mark Stallard is likely to be partnered by Spencer Weir-Daley. The loan forward from Nottm Forest scored both goals against Walsall.
