Players must prove their worth

Graham Turner has told his players to step up a gear and prove their worth if they want new contracts.

"Contracts run out at the end of the season so players have plenty to play for - either staying here or moving elsewhere. What we don't want is for the season to peter out," Turner told the Worcester News

"You always have forward planning but our focus is Accrington and we want to stop the run of defeats."

"We know all about Accrington.

"We have played against them once this season and I have watched them.

"They are quite a direct and combative side with better forward players than defenders.

"They are fighting for their lives and we are on the back of three straight defeats so we have got to go out there and put that right."

As regards who will play for the Bulls on Saturday, there is a doubt about Rob Purdie who has a rib injury whilst Alex Jeannin has a knock on his knee. Andy Ferrell has joined Kidderminster and both Martyn Giles and Steve Jennings are out.

Meanwhile Accrington Stanley have withdrawn their poster (see Sunday's Bulls News) depicting Hereford as a small side in Wales.
