Ex-Bull Stuart Watkiss, now Grimsby's assistant manager, was full of praise for scorer Paul Bolland after yesterday's goal.
Watkiss spent four months at Edgar Street at the end of the 1995/6 play-off season, making 21 appearances for the Bulls, and joined Grimsby in the summer initially as assistant to former manager Graham Rodger.
He told the local press: "It was a great finish by Paul and we are pleased. We knew we would be in for a tough game against Hereford who are a good footballing team. So to come here and get the three points is very pleasing and it is probably our only double of the season."
