Farnborough Town have finally folded after several years battling against financial problems, but the club has already been rescued and will carry on lower down the pyramid.
The former Conference club has struggled for years, with boardroom battles and funding problems causing on-field worries since Graham Westley departed the club following their match with Arsenal in the FA Cup in 2003.
The club were placed in liquidation on Friday after a CVA was rejected, but immediately bought out by new owners. The new club will slip from the Conference South to the British Gas Southern League Division One South and West, two stages lower.
