News Round Up

Wycombe are axing coach Steve Brown after 13 years of service due to the need to streamline their coaching setup. The former Chairboys player notched up over 400 appearances for the club before moving to the backroom three years ago.

Torquay have grabbed striker Lee Phillips from neighbours Exeter, the second raid on the Grecians playing staff. Phillips, 26, joins for a £17,500 fee after apparently becoming frustrated at the squad rotation system employed at St James Park after starting just half the league games last season.

Accrington are now the landlords of the Crown pub near their ground. They will reopen the pub on July 1st, with all the turnover of the pub contributing to their wage cap budget. Altrincham have signed ex-Bulls defender Chris Lane on non-contract terms. Lane played 65 times for the Bulls, and was released by Southport following their relegation.
