For the second season running Hereford United are not scheduled to have a game on Bank Holiday Monday August 27th.
Last year the reason there was no game was said to be because of International fixtures the following Saturday. This season the second round of the Carling Cup takes place that week.
Bank Holiday Monday has traditionally been a day when families watch games.
The last August Monday game at Edgar Street was in 2003 when Aldershot were the visitors. It attracted some 4985 fans who watched a thrilling match which the Bulls won 4-3.
Should Hereford progress to the second round of the Carling Cup and get drawn at home why not try to play that game on Holiday Monday. If Hereford miss out then why not bring forward the Tuesday evening November 6th home fixture against Mansfield assuming they miss out as well.
Whilst attendances can vary for different reasons, it's probable that a fixture on the Monday might bring an extra 1,000 fans to a game resulting in around £10,000 more income for the Bulls.
