Mowbray Unhappy Despite Win

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray was unhappy about his team's performance at Edgar Street on Friday.

Quoted by the Birmingham Mail, with the paper noting: "Mowbray was less enthused about his team's performance against a poor Hereford side", Mowbray told the press: "Overall there were some positives with our performance and a lot of negatives too. There were a lot of young players out there who got experience playing with our first-team players.

"People can gauge by my reaction that it's not the standard I want our teams to play at. They know the standards they have to attain. It wasn't as fluid as it was at Northampton but then that might reflect the youthfulness of the squad. It's not all about fitness. I want them to be footballers, express themselves. The result might not matter but they are being judged every time they go out on the pitch."

Graham Turner, speaking to the Offical Site, was happier: "It was a good workout, I thought we did quite well first half."

"We got caught a little bit sloppy just after half time. They changed their system, upped the tempo a bit. It was hard work against some quite reasonable players."
