With the start of the League Two season getting closer there is plenty of football to wet the appetite of Hereford United supporters this week even if a couple of the games involve Forest Green Rovers.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, supporters who are able to travel to Morecambe can watch Forest Green Rovers take on Preston North End. This is a Testimonial match for Jimmy Harvey, the much-loved former Hereford United player, who was manager at Morecambe until recently. Kick-off 7.30pm.
On Wednesday Hereford United play their fourth pre-season friendly. Wolverhampton Wanderers are the visitors to Edgar Street. Kick-off is at 7.45pm and admission is £8 for adults and £4 for concessions in any part of the ground which is open. Please remember the no smoking rule.
On Thursday the Hereford United youth team are due to play a friendly just over the Welsh border at Presteigne. Kick-off is at 7.30pm.
Also that evening Forest Green Rovers travel to play Hereford United's nearest neighbours, Westfields of the Polymac Services Midland Alliance League. Kick-off 7.45pm. Supporters will remember that Westfields had a fire at the end of last season which caused considerable damage to their stand so it would be a nice gesture if some Bulls fans could go along and watch this game. It will also give fans the chance to see how former Bulls Jamie Pitman, Danny Carey-Bertram and Stuart Fleetwood are progressing.
Finally on Saturday Hereford United play their last pre-season friendly. Cheltenham Town are the visitors to Edgar Street for the 3pm start. As it will be just seven days before League matches commence, Graham Turner is likely to put out his strongest side available on the day. Admission prices for this game have not been confirmed but are expected to be £8 for adults and £4 for concessions.
