Hereford United have issued a statement explaining why there were delays at the Meadow End turnstiles last Saturday.
Following hold-ups in gaining entrance into the Meadow End for United's game against Rotherham on Saturday the Club have issued the following statement.
Due to a break in on Friday night, two turnstiles were severely damaged and put out of action for Saturday's game. This did cause delays in getting supporters into the ground.
During the week the club have installed three new CCTV cameras on the Meadow End which will hopefully deter the vandals in the future. The club have had at least a dozen break-ins over the last two weeks and the Police are involved.
The club would like to apologise for any delays encountered by supporters on Saturday, and are hopeful that the turnstiles will be up and running for Tuesday nights Carling Cup game with Yeovil.
Meanwhile, the club are also on the look out for new turnstile operators. If you are honest, reliable and over the age of 18 then please contact the club on 01432 276666. Pay is above the National average.
The club would like to thank those supporters who arrived in plenty of time for Saturday's game, and would like to ask that even more supporters arrive early, and if possible with the correct change. There were a large amount of supporters who arrived on Saturday at 2.55pm.
Thank you for your co-operation in this matter, your support is extremely valued and we would like to apologise once again for any delay and inconvenience.
