Free Flights for Referees?

AirAsia has agreed a three year deal to sponsor top-flight referees for the next three seasons.

The deal has been done with the Refs organisation, the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) which was established in 2001 and is responsible for the training, development and monitoring of over 300 referees.

Mark Halsey will be the first referee to have the new AirAsia logo on his sleeves when he takes charge of the Community Shield game at Wembley this afternoon.

And whoever is in the middle at Edgar Street for the game against Rotherham next Saturday will also be displaying the new logo.
