Chris Weale's return to Bristol City has been confirmed. Their first choice 'keeper is said to be still suffering pain from his injury sustained last Saturday, so Gary Johnson has used the 24 hour recall clause in Weale's loan deal with Hereford United.
"Adriano felt alright this morning and we took him training but as soon as he ran out on to the pitch he felt the injury," manager Johnson told the Bristol City website.
"So we've recalled Chris Weale from Hereford and it's only right that your senior keeper plays in goal, so Chris will play at Brentford tomorrow.
"Chris played for Hereford on Saturday and kept a clean sheet, so he'll start.
"Chris is an experienced keeper who hasn't played regularly for 14 or 15 months. He's ready to play, he's desperate to play so for him this has come at a good time."
