Rochdale boss Keith Hill respects the Bulls, acknowledging that Edgar Street isn't the easiest place to come to.
Speaking to the local press, Hill said: "I found it difficult there as a player and I'm sure it will be as a manager. Hereford have made an excellent start and have some very good young players, but we are well prepared, go into the game full of optimism and fully expect to register our first result. We go into every game looking to win."
Rochdale will be without Nathan Stanton and Nathan D'Laryea at the back but have added Peterboro defender Guy Branston on loan to try and halt the goals after seven were conceded in the opening three games. John Doolan will return from suspension in midfield.
