The young Hereford United midfielder, Toumani Diagouraga, is unwell and may miss the Macclesfield match on Saturday.
"He has flu-like symptoms and has been isolated from the others. But we hope he will recover in time for the match," manager Graham Turner told the Hereford Times.
Otherwise there are no injury concerns and Turner seems confident of a good result.
"They have had four draws so far and we have had them watched. They missed a penalty Darlington which they should have won the game," said Turner.
"But Macclesfield don't overly concern us, it's how we play that counts and we have shown that we have a team who can overturn anyone if we play at our best."
Meanwhile Turner reminded supporters in his weekly column that 'season ticket holders can claim a free ticket to bring along a guest' to the game on Saturday.
Finally well-respected Hereford Times journalist Richard Prime is to become the sports editor of the paper next week. Jeremy Finney, the current editor, is retiring after 16 years in the post.
Prime is regarded as an expert on all things Hereford United and is co-author of several books including the Wilderness Years when the Bulls were out of the Football League.
