Graham Turner, the Hereford United manager, admitted he was disappointed with his team's performance at Dagenham last night. He said it was very important that the team rebounds from the defeat and doesn't lose to Stockport on Saturday.
"I thought we dominated the game for the first twenty minutes. We needed to score in that good spell and gradually they started to cause us a few problems with their direct style," Turner told the Official Website.
"There were a number of times we gave silly free kicks away. We never reacted to the knock down from the free kick and we paid a heavy penalty for it.
"Second half there were a number of occasions when we broke very well but we over-elaborated with the last ball or failed to pick out the right option."
The silly free kick that led to the goal was given away by Clint Easton who had lost the ball moments earlier. Easton was subbed at half time.
Asked about an extension to Gary Hooper's loan, Turner said that he has had conversations with Southend and the 'vibes seem very positive'.
Meanwhile Trent McClenahan wants the side to continue trying to play the passing game.
"That's what we are all about. We been playing like that all year. I don't see why we are going to change now. Even if we're one nil down, two nil down," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"Play the way we like to play and what we are good at and I think that's the way we've got to do it.
"That's why we are where we are."
Finally Daggers assistant manager Terry Harris:
"I was absolutely delighted to come in at half-time certainly against the wind.
"It's been the end of a great couple of weeks. I have been saying for a while I thought Hereford would see a different Dagenham."
