News Round Up

Chesterfield have released player-coach Wayne Allinson by mutual consent. The 39 year old journeyman striker played 878 times in a 20 year career, scoring over 200 goals. Morecambe have extended the loan of defender Michael Howard to Oxford until the end of the season.

Rumoured transfer target Stefan Moore is having a trial at Walsall. Dagenham have loaned out of favour striker Jamie Taylor to Grays for a month, and sent defender Magnus Okuonghae to Weymouth for a similar spell.

Brentford have signed Wayne Brown (no, not that one) from Fulham on loan until the end of the season. The 19 year old midfielder recently made his first team debut at Craven Cottage. Shrewsbury have been given the famous coracle that used to fish balls out of the river. The craft, believed to be 100 years old, was sold by the club in a charity auction in 1989. It comes complete with a paddle, something that the team appear to be missing.
