Nothing but Automatic Promotion says Rose

Hereford United's Richard Rose is hoping the Bulls can acheive automatic promotion to League One and also said he was very pleased with the result this afternoon.

"I think it's been coming - a big result - and today it came for us. A very very good win," Rose told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

Rose thought Sherfill MacDonald's debut was 'brilliant'.

"He hasn't trained with the lads yet. We saw him for the first time today. He seemed to be everywhere in the game. Looks like a very good signing."

A penalty?

"Yes, the boy has slid in with his arm up and the ball had his arm and it was going across the face of goal."

Chesterfield game coming up.

"I think all the lads are still hurt a little from Chesterfield (the Bulls lost 4-0) when we think back about it."

The supporters.

"They've been brilliant all season. It like a 13th player!."

Automatic promotion the aim?

"I think so. I think everyone would rather get promoted straight away. I don't really think we've played a team that is better than us. We try not to think about the play-offs."

After the interview Trevor Owens, head of sport at H&W, revealed that 'keeper Wayne Brown had also wanted automatic promotion because the season would finish three weeks earlier.
