After today's game at Edgar Street I spoke to both Steve Guinan and John McCombe.
Guinan confirmed that his continued absence was still as a result of the close attention he received during the Notts County game on News Years Day. Bulls News' readers will recall that Steve commented at the time that he'd never been fouled so much in any previous game. Today he said that he had needed to go to hospital on the way home from the game as his leg began to swell. His attempts to resume full training had been difficult and recently, a scan had revealed some damage to his calf caused by a kick on the back of the leg several minutes before the end of the game. He is hopeful of returning to active service towards the end of the month.
John McCombe said his knock on the knee was "a bit sore" but was a bang rather than a strain and hoped to be OK for the trip to Rochdale. "Everyone else seems to just have the usual bumps and bruises."
