Just One Shot On Target By Bulls

Hereford United managed just one shot on target this afternoon against Stockport County. That is the lowest shot count by the Bulls for a long time. The Hatters had eight shots on target.

Whether this was because of a strong Stockport County defence, tinkering of the Hereford forwards or both is debatable.

For whatever reason Graham Turner decided not to pair Gary Hooper with Sherjill MacDonald and perhaps as a consequence the Stockport 'keeper had a very quiet afternoon.

Possession was assessed as 50% to Hereford and 50% to Stockport.

Bulls' defender John McCombe was yellow carded by referee Andy Penn for a seemingly innocous challenge on Dickinson which resulted in the penalty which won the match for Stockport.

Gary Hooper received a seven for his efforts, all the other Hereford players received a five or a six. For Stockport, Dickinson was given an eight.

The sponsors picked Ben Smith as their man of the match.

The attendance was 3526 with a creditable 590 from Stockport.
