McClenahan assists Olyroos to Victory

Hereford United defender Trent McClenahan was instrumental in the first goal for the Olyroos in their 2-1 win over Chile in the Intercontinental Cup - Malaysia 2008 last night.

The Olyroos will now play in the semi-finals.

According to SportsAustralia.com:

Against the run of play, in the 25th minute, Under 23 midfielder Trent McClenahan broke free down the right sideline and placed a deep cross into the box which was met by Matt Simon, who atoned for his previous miss, with a well-timed finish to give his team the vital one-goal lead.
