News Round Up

Rotherham's Administrator is to apply to the courts for more time to arrange a CVA. The existing timescale runs out this week. Bristol Rovers have confirmed interest in striker Richard Walker, a loan target for the Bulls last season, with Bury confirming interest.

Worcester City and Redditch United have both moved from Conference North to South after four more northern sides were relegated from the Conference. Leicester have released six and offered six new one year deals. Included in the Foxes departures are former Scotland keeper Rab Douglas and former Premiership man Jamie Clapham.

Colchester have offered £100,000 for Nottm Forest defender Matt Lockwood. The U's are also planning an emergency game or two at Ipswich's Portman Road ground if their new Cuckoo Farm stadium does not make the start of the season. Chester have offered £30,000 for Vauxhall Motors striker Paul Taylor. Forest Green have lost captain Michael Brough to Torquay on a free transfer.

Ex-Bull Jake Sedgemore has been released by Altrincham. He played twice for the Bulls in September 2001. Carlisle have released three and made Kevin Gall available on a free transfer following their play-off failure last night. Macclesfield have released five including one-time Bulls target Jamie Tolley. The midfielder was named as a target in the summer of 2006 before joining the Silkmen for a five figure fee.

Shrewsbury have named their first two signings in 19 year old forward Stephen Hindmarch from Carlisle, and Gretna's 32 year old ex-Carlisle midfielder Paul Murray. Mansfield have released seven including wanted man Matt Hamshaw, but have offered new terms to Mickey Boulding and his brother.

Accrington have signed released Shrews defender Colin Murdock on a years contract. Scunthorpe are leading the chase for Morecambe winger Garry Thompson ahead of MK Dons and Bradford.
