Bulls Chase Gowling?

The Bulls are reportedly the third club in the chase for Bournemouth central defender Josh Gowling.

The out of contract 24 year old is being chased by Walsall and Leyton Orient, with the former West Brom man wanting to be closer to his Coventry base. He was taken to Dean Court by his former coach at the Baggies, ex-Bull Richard O'Kelly, in 2005 and played a number of games alongside Karl Broadhurst in the Cherries defence.

The Birmingham based Express and Star name the Bulls as Walsall's main competition for the 6ft 3in player who is likely to be well known to coach John Trewick, who was O'Kelly's successor at the Hawthorns as well as Edgar Street.

Gowling has also had experience in Danish football, playing for Herfolge Boldklub in the top flight for two seasons before his arrival at Dean Court. His three year stint there has seen him clock up nearly 100 games after his first season was ruined by a knee ligament rupture.
