Cheltenham Town are considering moving from Whaddon Road to the nearby racecourse if a proposal can be agreed.
The owners of the racecourse at Prestbury Park are likely to build permanent stands to replace 'tented' accomodation as they are concerned about safety after high winds caused problems at last years National Hunt Festival.
The proposals, which are reported to include a 'back-to-back' grandstand, facing the finishing straight on one side and the new football pitch on the other, have been put forward by the course's managing director Edward Gillespie who has approached Robin's chairman, Paul Baker, about the plans.
