The deadline for players to notify the club of their intention has passed says Graham Turner in his latest official website interview.
While the offers appear still to be on the table - Turner made no mention of withdrawing them like last season's inactivity from Alan Connell and Simon Travis - he admitted there was no contact from Trent McClenahan over his future but Dean Beckwith had been in negotiations.
On the goalkeeping front there was nothing definite but talks were ongoing, with Turner hinting at an experienced no.1. He also confirmed ongoing talks with Southend over Gary Hooper, with his wording suggesting that matters were close to being resolved.
Turner noted he had spoken to a pair of Premiership clubs, one in the Champions League, over loan players for the coming season but it would be a few weeks before anything was confirmed as the clubs wanted to see the players in training first.
