Gowling Set For Walsall

The Birmingham based Express and Star are claiming that alleged Bulls target Josh Gowling is on the verge of a switch to Walsall.

The Bournemouth based player wants a move closer to his Coventry home, with the paper putting the Bulls and Saddlers in a straight fight for his signature. They now claim that Gowling, along with former Shewsbury loanee Asa Hall, will move to the Banks's Stadium by the end of the week.

The paper also claims that the scrapping of Wolves' reserves 'could mean' a return to Edgar Street for Lee Collins. The defender played 20 times in a lengthy spell at Edgar Street last season and is not yet considered a first teamer at Molineux, with boss Mick McCarthy still looking for a central defender to bolster his squad.

Meanwhile, the official site has confirmed that both Simon Johnson and Richard Rose have signed one year contracts to stay at Edgar Street.
