Michael Husbands has been offered a trial at Cheltenham when their players return to training next Tuesday.
The 24 year old striker has played for both Hereford United (on loan from Aston Villa) and Bristol Rovers but has recently been with Telford.
In other news Shrewsbury have signed Shane Sheriff on a free transfer from Tranmere. Ronnie Moore had offered Sheriff a two year deal. Shrewsbury now have a squad of 25 players.
Chairman Roland Wycherley has told the Shropshire Star that the club's record-breaking transfer splash "shows our intent."
