News Round Up

Stockport have released nine players following their play-off win. Included in those out of the door is former Wolves striker Adam Proudlock. Three players are being offered new terms including ex-Bull Michael Rose. Bradford have just 14 days to sell nearly 3,500 adult season tickets for their fans to get the additional free ticket if they equal last season's total.

Grimsby are the latest lower league side to drop Nike as kit supplier. They have signed a three year deal with Italian firm Errea. Ex-Bull Chris Mackenzie has joined Hinckley United. Now 35, he departed Aggborough last week after choosing to go part-time. Leicester have passed the 10,000 season ticket mark for their first League One campaign.

Alleged Bulls target Matt Harrold is being reported as a target for Doncaster according to the local Southend press, who also place a £70,000 valuation on the contracted forward. They also add Leyton Orient and Shrewsbury to the suitors with Harrold telling the paper he wants the move completed before the end of June. The Shrews will be able to afford the asking price after bagging a £500,000 bonus after goalie Joe Hart played for England in last night's international just two years after a £600,000 move to Man City.

Altrincham's informative website notes the club's chairman, and coach company owner, Geoff Goodwin has warned that fans will be less keen to travel with fuel prices as high as they are: "To hire one of my 49-seater coaches costs £1,100 at the moment but will have to rise. The fuel cost for my [coach] company has risen from £280,000 last year, to £400,000 this year.". The Non-League Paper claims travelling costs will be 26% higher for the coming season, adding £2 to the average coach seat.

Grays are waiting for a massive windfall after two of their former player were linked with seven-figure moves. If Aaron MacLean and Michael Kightly move for the claimed £2million and £4million fees, the Essex club will pocket £1.2million in sell-on fees. Ex-Bull Steve Lowndes has coached Cirencester College to win the Conference Youth Cup.

Rotherham's move to Sheffield may see them miss out on Saturday home games. With two football sides already alternating Saturday fixtures, local Police are concerned at a third side coming into the equation. The existing tenants at the Don Valley Stadium, Rugby League side Sheffield Eagles, also expect first choice on the fixtures calendar but are yet to be told of the plans by the stadium's owners.
