Colin Hancock has claimed he has signed a deal to takeover Mansfield. The former Aldershot chairman, who presided over their 1992 demise, announced on Saturday night he has secured a deal for the club and ground. No figures have yet been released for the deal, and it is yet to be confirmed by the club.

Rotherham are yet to seek Football League permission to play at the Don Valley stadium next season. The club cannot apply for the move until the officially come out of Administration next week, but have already sold over 1,000 season tickets for the new ground. Shrewsbury's move for Nottm Forest striker Grant Holt is believed to be worth £150,000.

Darlington will trim up to six players from their playing staff after missing out on promotion. Their reduced budget will see 18-20 on contact compared to 25 contracted players used last season. Cheltenham are the first League One side to express an interest in former Bulls target Richard Walker.

Scunthorpe have accepted a £1.3million bid from Burnley for striker Martin Paterson. The deal includes a 20% sell-on clause after an initial £450,000 bid was rejected. Ex-Bull Jake Sedgemore has signed for Solihull Moors after deciding to go part-time. Craig Mawson is believed to be on the verge of joining Weymouth.
